Hi...I fancy adding one of these to my existing 4040 system. But most seem to come with 1/4" fittings. I don't think I have any 1/4" pipes in my system. The cleaning warehouse does one with 1/2" fittings, which seems closer, but I think my fittings are all 3/4".
Has anyone fitted one and can offer me advice re what to buy? Please!

4040 are 1/2" fittings and piping which I have kept.
Lots of these

and O clips the suit your hose diamt.
I have the twin sensor unit. First sensor between the r/o pure output and the di vessel. The second after di and before the storage tank. If I want to know what the tap water tds is I use my tds meter. I know my first reading after r/o should be 3 and after di zero.
If the reading after di is 4 then I will do a tap water tds check. I know my membrane is running at 97% and 3 is 99% of the time. Our tap water is between 120 and 150ppm. There was a time when it was in the 80's and the reading was 2 but it hasn't been that for years now.
Your di vessel could be 3/4" so would need reducers but most are 1/2". My di was 3/4". It came with 3/4" male to male threaded connectors. I had a couple of washing machine filler hoses. I cut the hoses off and pushed my hose onto the barb end. They have worked this way for 8 years now.

Thanks Spruce. That's really helpful. I appreciate you taking the time. I suppose the 1/4" fittings are more for aquarium use???
Cheers.

Can I make a better choice than this? It has 1/2" fittings

This is the one I have from Daqua. You must order it with 1/2" fittings

I found the sensors become faulty after time so gone back to hand held tds

I fitted Dauqa unit anyway, thanks Spruce. Now reading in: 3 and out : 0. Easy to fit with the 1/2" fittings suggested.
