i want the best out of my resin so i thought of this!
my tds goes in to my ro @ 345-390 and comes out @ 7-11. it then obviously goes through di to get it 100% pure. i change my resin when it gets to about 3 but i'm now thinking if i had another di vessel after this one i could continue using this resin up until 7-11, which in turn would pro-long the life of my new resin. then when the resin is completely used i would then fill the first up with new resin and swap the vessels around.
has any body done this? does it seem a good idea?
any comments welcome
thanks jon

Hi Jon,
Yes that will work, we adopt a similar process, however, you won't need to change your 1st DI vessel until way past 7-11 as the next vessel will reduce the water back down to 000 again?
RO into DI Vessel into DI Vessel will last your for months at 7-11 input from RO

Basically the RO is doing most of the work for you.
The DI resin is used to removed the final particals and ensure the reading is 000. If you are using 2 DI vessels then the second vessel will have little if anything left to remove as the 1st vessel is doing the polishing.
I would wait for the 1st vessel to read about 50 before changing it and then I would just swap them around. Make sure you always check your final output reading to ensure it is 000
