Title: Stone cleaning
Post by: C.C.S. on June 18, 2020, 08:44:45 am
Hi. What's the best way to clean this stone above the bay window . I tried some Virosol undiluted and a lot came off but it's still stained . Will pressure washing it shift it ?
Thanks

Wouldn’t even bother I’ve got stone sills at my house
In the end I just painted then with a product called stone lux
Came up looking brand new

How is it better to paint them?  To apply Stonelux You have to thoroughly deep clean and allow the stone to dry!  So if you do the cleaning correctly surely the job is done , why go through the pain of applying 3 x Coats of Stonelux paint allowing at least  3-4  Hours between coats ::)roll

In my opinion it just looks better.
Yes it’s a lot of work but the results are much better.

Rub it with a carborundum.
