I need to replace the pumps in a couple of gardiners backpacks, just looked on their site for spares and they are out of stock. I can't remember when the backpacks were last in stock. I am usually a gardiner fan, but am less impressed with the back packs.
Has anybody replaced these pumps from another source, could you send a link if you would recommend a particular one.
I could do with one this week, but it's unlikely.

I replaced one in a backpack two or three years back with one similar to this one.

If you find the 100psi a bit to powerful you will likely be able to swap out the spring in the pressure switch with the one from the Gardiner one to Lower the psi. This is what I did. Worked perfect.
If I were to buy a backpack to use frequently I would take it apart and rewire it with a 40 amp relay after the warranty runs out. It’s usually the micro switch in the pump that burns out in these pumps and this cheap modification will extend the life of the pump considerably.

If you get the wrong watt pump, it’ll cane the battery. I’ve tried a few different types. I would ask Alex if he could recommend you one.

Be prepared if you buy from him and the pumps not working buy else where ,i used to use this guy alot until he accused me of breaking a backpack after 2 weeks and refused a replacement so never used him again, and before anyone has a go at me dont

Alternatively, do you know why the pumps have failed?
Most frequently what fails is actually not the pump but the microswitch in the back of the pressure switch on the end of the pump. These can be replaced pretty easily. You may need a soldering iron if the wires are soldered on. If your lucky the wires will be fitted with spade connectors
However, you might have to make a small modification to the cover that holds the microswitch as the one fitted to these pumps is not easy to source. See pics below.

It needs replacing with one of these as the originals are hard to source. The arrows show the terminals you will use.

However, you will need to make this mod to make it fit. It can be done with a small drill and small square file.
Be careful not to make the hole too big as the main body of the microswitch needs to be held firmly in place.
