Title: MRSA

I am cleaning a care home which has three residents who have the infection.
I am using Prochems Microsan to clean but would appreciate the forums advice on:-
1)Possible spread from the vacuum exhaust
2)Cleaning of equipment
3)Personal Protection

MRSA is easy to control. Basically hot water and most sanitising agents will kill the bug. It is controlled purley by very hygienic practices including personal hygiene.
In terms of vaccuming you are safe as long as you use a heppa filter vac that has good or new filters in and I would replace the filters and fully sanitise the vac after use.

Use HACCP and adhere to the following points.

As long as every thing is fully cleaned correctly at the correct teperatures.

All equipment is fully sanitised after use.

You and your clothes are cleaned after use then you should have no problem.

And yes microsan is fine to use.

Are you sure? Thought the jocks had there own thing going? Schools for one! Highlands thought they had lowlands also?  What a dilemma we are in! Disclaimer and signed by the head honcho is a must!
