I have just replaced the membrane on my RO and it is now producing water ridiculously slow! I have good water pressure and have never needed a pump so not sure what is going on? Any ideas?

I think you're going to have to provide a bit more information, what size ro is it ? have you replaced with a branded like for like ? are you sure the membrane has been replaced the right way round / seal correctly fitted ?

It is a 20", never had a problem before. It is the cheapest membrane I could find on Window cleaning warehouse, but is literally producing water 75% slower than before! I will check it is the right way up when I finish work.

I've a 4040. Its a shame not all membrane brands have a flow direction symbol on them ! .... I recently replaced mine after cleaning it in hg descaler the wrong way round ( the tds was higher though ) . From watching a youtube clip ( squeaky clean ) I realised my mistake. Seems the end with the rubber seal /gasket on it usually goes in first to the feed end. Don't know if thats of help or not, but good luck .

The RO starts slowing down when the carbon filter is clogging up. Did you replace the filters when you replaced your ro membrane?

These days my RO goes faster than me ;D
