Title: Business interruption loan
Post by: reflection on April 26, 2020, 02:52:40 pm
Is anybody applying for a business interruption loan.

I was hoping to get another van on the road this year with a wfp system.

I  was planning on gettting a van on finance and buying the system but now thinking if I can get one of these loans would it be better just to get it all from the loan.

If I can get one

Last I heard so few are getting it, it's not worth the hassle of applying

Unless as a director your willing to put your house up as security I think if you can't do this you won't get a penny

I applied, they wanted me to put my house up in the beginning. That's now changed though.

It's a weird set up though. I'll repay nothing in the first year, interest only in the second, then the full amount at the end of the term so not really suitable for vehicle finance.

So even just get the van on finance and use the loan to kit the van out with everything I need and sign writing etc maybe talk to the accountant and see what she says.

I was thinking one of the newer shaped transits

Will there more vans on the market as demand goes down?

These look interesting. Borrow up to 50K, no interest or payments for first year. 100% government backed.

Launches on May 4th. Simple 2 page application. Might work out to be a very cheap way of borrowing money.

Not sure where you apply yet though.
