Just found out that they’re not included in the furlough scheme and are to be paid as normal.

Bummer.

VE Day celebrations will be low key affairs.
We'll have to wait for the VCV-19 instead.

I was thinking of Easter and good Friday. Just had to do wages for staff. Won’t get 80% back for it. No furlough for bank holiday.
Imagine if you employed a hundred?

If you work bank holidays then it's included in the grant, isn't it? Or ask them to use holidays and top up?
Two more bank holidays in May.

Go to holiday pay. I don't know whether it's changed or not.

Looks like the policy if you want a bank holiday, get a job in a bank is paying off.

It depends on the employment contract.
If you pay bank holidays (we do)((don’t think you do?)) then you have to pay as normal.

It makes no difference really. They are accruing holidays as they are off.
