Anyone know subcontracting out domestic work to people actually works?

Quoted lots of jobs that I am not able to do/too far away to justify it so I'm subcontracting them out to a friend.

We have a contract where I quote the customers and payments using gocardless and take a 10% fee off the top.

You should be calling the shots.
If he doesn’t want the work when you need it done pass it on to someone else.
