I’m happy to follow the governments guidelines which are science led and considerably more informed than I am on the subject.

Do you?

If you’re not taking work into consideration,  then one better take this question to the relevant section before Nathan sees it🙈

Some of my neighbours need to learn the social distancing protocol first. One of them is fitting his van out. Yesterday there were 4 people crowded round the back of it from 3 different households  ::)roll

Personally I don’t think we’ll have a full lockdown. I could be wrong though  :D

Went to a job today she came out said hello and we knew to keep our distance so all was fine, next thing I knew I went round the back looked through the conservatory and I saw 3 builders standing side by side looking at the roof glass as there are a couple of panes that’s have a slight leak.
1 of them came out and walked up to me I said hang on a minute m8 we are supposed to be keeping our distance here,he laughed and said oh yeah. Do you mind if I borrow you small ladder on your van to measure this glass lol,I said I don’t think so m8,looked at me like I was mad 😂,still a lot of people out there carrying on as normal.

The pointy heads think the lock down is working.

Shutting down the whole economy would just bring more deaths in the future.  GDP and life expectancy are linked.

The choice is between saving granddad now, or giving your kids a lifetime of poverty and a shorter life.

Don't think we'll get a full lock down but I do think that the current measures will be in place till at least mid May without change.

Social distancing will probably have to continue - at least - until June / July but I do expect a relaxation of the more draconian measures shortly after that.

no i dont......this lockdown is pretty severe for the uk.....most people are sticking to the guidelines....i think on easter monday  the government will continue with it and review it again in another 3 weeks.....

im looking forward to 4 days off over the easter weekend as ive  been working as usual since the announcement.....my missus has been off the whole time as they had to shut down her shop 2 weeks ago.....the great thing is shes doing all the jobs around the house so i dont have to! :D :D

shes currently decorating the kitchen, last week she cleaned the garage out and all the garden and driveway.......every cloud and all that...... ;D ;D

Nope i dont think its needed yet.

This thing will grow, peak, plateau then decline.

Italy and spain are showing signs that they have already peaked, if we follow suit we shouldnt be far behind, in fact new cases last couple of days have been stable.

Theres no need to shut down the economy altogether unless this totally gets out of hand, which it hasnt as of yet, in a week or two we should start to see the effects of the lockdown.

The Gov have done the maths on this, if and when further action is needed im sure they will call it.

Maybe those who have decided to stop work are hoping for a full lockdown to make them feel better. How gutted will you be if in a few weeks this starts to subside and you could have worked for two months  :)

There is more chance of pigs flying! Jet2 are only saying this so that all those people who have a summer holiday booked will have to pay the outstanding balance within the next month or so....or lose their deposit.

i dont think the government will even begin to think about lifting the restrictions (as they stand)for another few months yet......at least not until mid june IMO......

Will your mrs meet the criteria for the £10k business grant Daz? Think it needs to be a retail business and paying business rates. A lad I know got paid £10k into his bank today, he has a garage and so can also stay open.

I love the mornings; it's just so quiet when I wake up.  No cars, no sounds, not even that background hum of aircraft.  Just lying there in the peace and quiet.

It's such a shame that hundreds of thousands are dying all around the world.

It is quiet though.

ive been ruthlessly efficient(which is normal for me)over the last month in regards to work and the whole coronavirus crisis...apart from adhering to a few common sense/social distancing guidelines then its been business as usual for me.......

The government won't want to increase the level of lockdown. Financially it would bankrupt the country, thats why the lock down was vague initially.
There will come a time in next week or two the government will realise that financially and mentally the lockdown will start doing more harm than good.
Like weighing scales really, sad fact but true in life.
The longer lockdown goes on the more bankrupt we'll become
Gonna make austerity look like a piece of cake.

Let's hope the World Bank writes off every countries debt incurred from Covid19

I think the lockdown restrictions will stay the same, I think from end of May the restrictions will be lifted but social distancing encouraged.

Numbers of deaths haven't climbed as expected and if the numbers start to drop  after the peak which seems to different
sources will be between 12th and 20th April..i can see some measures being lifted by early May...This situation clearly will be
monitored closely...social distancing measures of some type will be with us for a long time and we may have to re enter lockdown
if we hit any bumps in the road...No doubt there will be another 3 week lockdown put in place after this one which will take us to early May...Personally i can sit it out until then , after that one way or another i will have stick my head above the parapet and get on with it.

The only talk about harder measures on the lock down is due to people still not taking this seriously enough!
Theres plenty of cases on social media who just point blank refuse to conform, that is until it effects them or their family member and they start to sing a whole different tune.

There was talk on the radio bbc1 newa that they are considering reopening schools soon!!

Bringing it back around to work though, it would be nice if they did do a full lockdown. 1st for the health side of the arguement and 2nd to help with finances.  For me, i used mine keeping my family afloat since december till now. At least we have the help of the grant to top our earnings up at the moment. Yet if there was a total ban, hopefully the government would blanket freeze council tax, gas/electric bills etc etc and so everyone has a fighting chance financially so that we all have jobs to go back to.  As we all know, we need the general public to keep theirs or we wont be kept on by them

You know you can speak to your local authority, utility bills and any credit card/loans already Nathan and get them to give you payment holidays if you are struggling.

I know what you mean. I had to go shopping yesterday. A quick in and out of town. Ive been generally shopping in the local shop but needed a slightly larger shop, so trotted off. The place was deserted. The only teo shops open out of probably 150 shops were Sainsburys and a chemist. Wierd but peaceful and quite cathartic.

The roads being quiet is strange. There isnt a sound from outside currently. I think we’ll all remember this time but it is really sad that behind it all people are dying and will continue to do so. Maybe me.

Picked up a roof-cleaning job as well this morning. It doesn't seem to affect some people. If I had a window cleaner he'd be down the road at the moment so far as I'm concerned.

I dont know if its a hoax but I doubt it.    I have some customers who are old and high risk underlying issues and they have been receiving letters since yesterday advising them to stay in and not to even go out to take their bins out
