Title: Pole hose
Post by: James Styles on April 02, 2020, 02:21:13 pm
While I’ve got time on my hands I’ve been doing some maintenance on my pole and noticed the pole hose “all season yellow pvc” is really worn on the part where it’s a the bottom of the pole, there’s a really tiny hole in it aswell, I’ve taped it up with pvc tape (put plenty on all that area) but I’ll be looking to order a new pole hose.
I want one that’s strong & tougher to wear & tear. I’m thinking this one looks good it says it’s tougher than pvc yellow https://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/pump-hose/hoses/pole-hose/green-flexible-pu-pole-hose-5-5mm-id-x-8mm-od.html or possibly the reinforced pvc yellow hose?
What would you guys suggest. I use a gardiner backpack btw.

If it's right at the end, just cut it off and re-attach whatever attachment you're using.

It'll be a few inches shorter, but you'll probably not notice.

Don't think we are allowed to talk about non-virus related stuff?

Anyway, here's the secret with pole hose.........

It is All complete 💩

Ive used maybe 10 different hoses and it's all useless. Every hose I've tried always goes the same way after a while, a tangled mess.

If i had to pick one that I think is the best of a very poor bunch I would say gardiner green. I wouldnt get the gardiner re-inforced its like tow rope.

We have never had a tangle with any pole hose we have had and we have tried most some are better than others , I think it must have something to do with the way you are using it

We may have peaked the hysteria and now we're on the downward side of the curve?

I just grab the 5mm poly flex hose from B&Q, best stuff I’ve used and readily available.
