SHAME ON YOU......
i tell you what is shameful....pubs/cafes that are still open, people walking close to each other that dont live together.........and 20+ groups of people having barbecues........
a healthy sole trader window cleaner who maintains a safe distance from his customers, insists on online payments, refuses tea and coffee is just going about his business in a safe way.....
-
SHAME ON YOU......
Why?
We’re not working because of isolation issues but those can work with little risk, and do so, should be applauded.
Shame on you for being a twat.

There's a lot of hysterical nonsense going on today.

I don't care if you're healthy or refusing tea and coffee, you're going in the book.

I suspect harleyman's hysteria is being fueled by Special Brew.

The information on this page is changing all the time. It does suggest for us to go to work so confusing

Honestly I would ignore the bs and do your own risk assessment.
Is it safe?
If you’re not sure, implement changes that will make it safe.
If you can’t, stay at home.
That’s really all there is to it.

He's worried as his missus works in the NHS, he's already said this . You don't need to be ped to be worried, scared or angry ?

Why would you implement changes if you're not sure?
What if you change something that is right to something that is wrong?
Your last ten words were spot on though.

If you’re not sure if you’re putting anyone else or yourself at risk, then make changes to your risk assessment to remove that.
Eliminate, reduce, isolate, control etc.
Make your work safe.
Why would you change something that is high risk to something that is low risk? That doesn’t make sense?
-
If you're not sure, ask someone that is sure.
On Thursday.

Why Thursday?
Do people know something I don’t?

There where some measures put through Parliment on Monday, thats why BoJos daily briefing was late at 8.30pm instead of the usual 5pm. They are Government powers to do this that and the other like send you home, fine you, close a business, detain you etc... they where passed. When they pass as is almost certain on Thursday before the Lords then they are enacted......... There will be no guessing then..........

That’s when all those going out desperately chasing a few pennies will Regret their actions. A few weeks maximum being asked to stay in will result in enforced staying in...for far longer.

I think that's when gov pass new legislation - they get new powers - to ground us.

Again, it was the day-trippers that headed out en-masse to the national parks and the beaches; treating the weekend like a bank holiday.
Not window cleaners.
It's important in this day and age that we challenge fake news.

You should change your username to Greta Thunberg 😁

And as I said on the other thread, going out en masse today and onwards helped a nervy governments future decisions? :-\

Not window cleaners or gardeners. Matt Hancock and Nicola Sturgeon were both clear on the matter. Respect the two meter rule and you can work. Both said - in their own way - that working was good for the country. Sturgeon specifically singled out window cleaners and gardeners - lone workers - as being good for the community.
Masses of people gathering in parks and beaches is the culprit here.
Let's keep some perspective and avoid hysteria.

The weekend morons going out alerted an already nervous government, there’s no hysteria, just sheer amazement anybody would think It’s OK that non key workers Heading out to work treating today as a normal day is acceptable.
It’s going to be moot in a few days anyway.

i just dont know what to do, i need the money decided not to work today and thought the same for three weeks ahead, had a customer call me and say your money is here, i said im thiking of stopping, she said i work in a supermarket you need to work we people will appreciate it, lets face it, its all about money the more you got the more morals you can have in life, i just not sure cant believe they are leaving us to make this impossible decision.
-
also what happens if decide not to work and they do bring in some help for self employed and the turn around and say nothing for you because you could of worked.
-

Not where I lived. I saw builders, posties, delivery vans, and a gardener cutting hedges around the streets.
There was a big queue outside Boots, going up the street, everyone two meters apart. Just about all the shops were closed; Wilcos was open though.
Very quiet otherwise; very few planes in the sky too. A bit eerie really.

Yep. No 2 ways about that.

just make a firm decision one way or the other...........id say go to work while you can before they change it to "essential" workers!
-
If they had closed all ports and airports as soon as the outbreak started in China there wouldn't have been any problems
-

It's perfectly acceptable if they work safely and follow all the science led guidelines. Matt Hancock called them 'rules'.

If that Chinese bloke hadn't ate bat soup...
My grandad was an 'occifer in the Kwangtung army, based in Manchuria, cutting heads off the Chinese (probably).
He knew how to deal with them.
