Who runs your business? You or those looking slyly at you from over the fence?

It's not Scotland only you dimwit.  She's giving advice that runs in alignment with current UK national government guidance.

Does Nicola sturgeon have any jurisdiction outside of Scotland? Has this changed everyone’s minds now (who were going to stay at home)?

She doesn't have a great deal inside Scotland if the truth were told.

Matt Hancock - today's daily briefing - said everyone should stay at home with some exceptions and travelling to work was one of them.

The principle is - explained by one of his flanking experts - is that if work can be done at home, it should be done at home.

I'm taking the rest of this week off. Depending on what happens between now and Sunday, I may then return to work if I feel it is safe to do so and the company image isn't going to suffer as a result.
We only have one chance to do the right thing and the more of us that do, the more lives will be saved.

I agree with that.
I think Thursday will be a big day for decisions.

Good call.

Funnily enough I was scheduled to go to my caravan on Thursday through Sunday anyway so no great loss and as TUI have stopped chasing me for the balance of lolly and told me I can get my deposit back on my cruise (due to go to Italy in June  - I kid you not) I do not have such a financial imperative to work.

As things stand I would rather look back on this week having chosen to do "the better thing" by not working when the death toll and scenes of horror really hit next week.

As Griff said - we are in the Phoney war - it's a little like the late winter/early Spring of 1940; we just do not yet emotionally know what hell is going to hit this country over the next two months and I would rather be at an outstanding point in history being part of the solution rather than being a selfish self-serving MODDED.

Are you allowed to go to your holiday home in England Gold? I’m not allowed to go to my Static caravan near St Andrews as it’s not classed as essential travel, you are not allowed to travel to a second home.

You do you, Simon.  For the sake of three working days I'll see how things transpire.

I hope this does not effect us self employed  putting a claim in for financial help.   If they say you can work.

I myself will be staying home

It's not clear though.
People can't go to work if their work has closed. You could work from home. You could get a job as a key worker.
There won't be a bespoke guideline/law for everyone. I think they've been putting out some of Boris's fires before Thursday.

Malc if you’ve had to ‘moderate’ your own post why did you use expletives in the first place?

You can bet your life it will. You don't get nothing for nothing.
