After our feckless leader's instruction to stay at home, who's listening?
-
Staying home today, maybe there will be a more in depth speech later about help for the self employed

I hope so.
Either way: You're doing the right thing.

Sorry if I'm not up to speed on this but I heard him say "to go to work if it cannot be done from home". Just woke up and Talk Radio are now saying "essential or key work but I never heard him say that". I wouldn't say window cleaning is essential. Anyone know where exactly we stand?

Unfortunately not.
There's no law that they can stop anyone working yet but I think they're pretty clear. The more people that stay at home, the less people will die.

I’m not working now until we get the all clear. Frankly I would be too embarrassed to be out working. If people like way eh bonzo are that desperate for money then let them go to work and see how many people turn them away. I’m happy for the government to pay me 80% to stay home.
People can go to the shops for essentials.... that means all the supermarkets are going to be rammed!
On a side note my neighbour has gone to work this morning. He’s a manager for a cleaning company.

What it all comes down to,
''There's no law that they can stop anyone working yet but I think they're pretty clear. The more people that stay at home, the less people will die.''

Michael Gove has just been on breakfast and said in no uncertain terms that we should be going to work if we can practice safe social distancing.
-
He said essential construction work that needs doing and people who have jobs that are essential to the country!

No they are working on that so it can become law and will be in the future,it will become Law within days.
He was appealing to people that could hear him without one eye half closed and dribbling down one side of there face,I don’t think you need to work for NASA to realise what he meant it wasn’t mainly about what job you were doing if it’s not necessary to go out. I’ve just had an urgent call from a lady down the road saying she’s had a bird crap on her windows round the back, better put the blue lights on and get going then.

No, but I'm a bit old fashioned, like that.
I'd never cross a picket line, either.

I'm off to work in half a hour.. just want to make a quick 100 and sky news says even police won't fine but rather just chat to you if they think you should go home.. at least today and tomorrow..
