I can’t see you 4 weekly lot keeping to that schedule after the next 6 months, unless you clean all retired old aged pensioners on a fixed no matter what income you’ll get pushed back maybe to every 8.
-

I take it you’ll be unaffected with all your glamorous, underwear drawer rummaging, inside work then? And what about all your £60 per half hour work, unaffected I suppose? You really couldn’t make up some of the drivel that comes out your gob😘
-
No we could all be affected just stating a fact that 4 weekly cleans might be put back, don’t be jealous at my £60 jobs for half hours work lol.

Drivel drivel drivel lol we will be talking about how some window cleaners used to clean 4 weekly in years to come.
-
I think the opposite.
Jobs under £20 are still viewed by many as small money jobs, times would have to get really hard for them to get rid of the window cleaner.
Whereas if all your work is £40 and upwards, that’s more like real money.
All your 8 weekly stuff might turn into 12 weekly. Vice versa.
I really think window cleaning is almost a recession proof business. Yes I’m sure we all will
Be effected in some way, but if we are struggling, then 90% of the population will also be struggling and the economy will be in a terrible way.
Hey ho, better times ahead anyway.
-
Nah, i feel for the ones who clean these big posh snooty houses because they must be loosing hell of a lot of money in investments n shares at the moment and these will tighten their purse strings.
Whereas, the every day folk of 4 wkly cleans, they know how to deal with hard times and buckle down the hatches and carry on regardless. So i think we will be ok for now
-
Give it a rest NWH.
There’s going to be some people seriously effected by this, your sneering told you so attitude just makes you look more idiotic than your normal posts.

Well said.
It's hardly a time for point scoring.

Come on guys, every forum has its resident bell end and storyteller NWH is ours ;D

And if 8 weeklys want it every other time you`ll be waiting 4 months between cleans...
The schedule makes no difference
-
Lol it’s not going to be like the last recession at all they will all club together effected countries to soften the blow,it’s the 4 weekly window cleaners I feel sorry for though they might have to go out and get another 4 weeks work when they get put back to 8 weeks by most of there custies lol.
4 weeks who cleans windows every 4 weeks anyway :)
-
I clean loads fortnightly :o some people like clean windows :o
-
We all clean peoples windows that like them to be cleaned, that’s not really the point though is it I don’t think I have a customer that likes having dirty ones.
I reckon some of the big boys on here have lost a few.
-
They probably won’t lose to many cleaning 5 bed detached houses for 27 notes though lol blimey.

I. take it you exclude yourself from that group?. I do all my work on a 4/5 week rota, some sre done 8 weekly but tjat suits me as well as them. It means I'm not chasing my tail to keep on top of the work.

Strangely ennough I did a 50 quider today annd she was saying her husband had been mnitoring the ft share prices.
Wants me to keep coming until I am forced to stop..
-
My work is on the coast 8 weakly would not work for my customers.
-
I do coastal work it’s only a days worth 6-8 weekly.
-
You can clean windows on the coast and they can literally be dirty again within hours,a few of them would want them cleaned every month but the majority of them are happy to have them cleaned every 6-8 weeks.
There’s salty glass and then there are windows that are 100 yards from the sea,I do a few this close and the windows are white with salt every time they are cleaned, they get the benefit if you have dry weather for a week or so but if there’s wind and rain like I say dirty again within hours, each visit I do frames and glass and they are happy but most wouldn’t want to shell out every 3-4 weeks.
-
i have a mixture....lots of 8 weekly jobs too...i cleaned a yearly job this afternoon....im cleaning mainly 8 weekly domestic and a few 4 weekly commercials this week

Just had a new build customer, £500,000 house, offered him 4 and 8 weekly, begged me for 2 weekly
I obliged
-
How much you charging him

Some will some wont, I've found more people wanting 8 weeks over the years, some still start on 4.
Some move to 8 for financial reasons, some move to 4 when they can/want.
As long as they pay what I want I'm not going to care.
-
During the 2008 recession, we felt no effects. What so ever. The guys I worked for (family friends) lost barely a hand full of domestics.
Who knows if this year will have an effect or not. I have noticed a slow down in enquiries via email, over the last few days.
-
They always start on what you recommend as time goes by they tell you what suits them,I don’t take on any small jobs I have a minimum which weeds out the time wasters.
I could clean them for half the money but i would end up turning up twice as much for the same money,my motto is charge more clean less often.
I’ve looked on some of these so called big hitters websites and they are cleaning stuff for peanuts no wonder they have endless amounts of work, cleaning half the amount of work for the same money makes more sense to me.
-
My guess would be but of course I could be wrong never often though lol, people that have got all customers on direct debit or have so many customers they couldn’t possibly have contact with the majority and have no personal touch will lose the most.
It’s a lot easier for someone to sack you off if they don’t know you or see you face to face,if they see you they would be more inclined to say can we put it back a few weeks from now on,so easy to just cancel a direct debit and send you an email saying I no longer require you service if they don’t know you and that’s not me speculating that’s a fact.
