After posting on here about the problems with slipping slx , I exchanged a few emails with him and he came up with a solution to the problem which saved me having to buy a new pole . May only be for a temporary period but all the same he didn't just say " you need a new pole, end of story"
Good after sales service Alex thank you.

We all could of told you that!
I’ve never understood any criticism of Alex or Gardiners’s in general. They always have great customer service in my experience.
-
I wasn't criticising at all, just asking for options.
-
No I meant the odd bad online review.

I see it a lot on the FB pages , Gardiner are this Gardiners are that , but to be honest it always seems to be the clueless idiots that start the witch-hunt, you know , the type of plank that tried to charge his backpack with a kettle lead and wants a refund with no investigation ;D ;D ;D

I dont follow them on fb, but tbh fb has numptyends on all groups and forums and in general so no surprise there. I saw in another thread someone slating Cleaning Spo, but I have had to return goods there before that were faulty and had no problem. I tend to buy most of my supplies from either Alex, ooor Mark at Wintecs. Alex for wfp stuff and Mark for trad and r/o filters

Can't fault them, they are a, if not, THE major player in wfp innovation. Used them since the early days of fishing poles and Bentley broom heads for brushes!😄
However, the only gripe I have ever had with any of their products is the green pole hose!! Man, does that stuff destroy me, to the point of losing the will to live!😬😲😩

for a spinning pole just put 2 inch of strong duct tape around under clamp
I assume you had a spin on a section
-
I bought a set of new clamp levers and that has done the trick.
