Just changed to a berlingo van and have a dual USB port on order that I wish to replace with the existing lighter socket. It has a green and yellow striped wire which I'm presuming is the neg and a cream/ yellow wire for the pos ? Am I right ?.... anyone know for sure ? I don't have a volt meter.

Yellow and green is usually an earth.
Cream? Are you sure it's not light brown? That's usually live
Yellow wires can also be live I think
Get a test lamp and a voltmeter, very handy to have around.

Well a very pale yellow then.
I googled but found no info that was exactly what I was asking colourwise.
But thanks anyway. I think I've got my answer now with a bit of reading. The live goes to the center of the socket body ( the very pale yellow ) and the neg is the outer casing.
