What is the cheapest carbon fibre pole on the market these days and who sells it?I have always used Gardiners for past 8/9 years but find I’m constantly having to tighten the clamps all the time. Hard to beat price wise thoughNeed a 25footer, anyone heard of Bayersan? A lot of them on EBay.

im trying out the ova-8 price wise my local suppler is selling it to me for less than I can buy an slx 25
early days but its a nice pole to use - well made - and I like the goose neck set up
worth a try IMO

Shouldn’t you be asking what is the best carbon fibre pole on the market rather than the cheapest? I hope your customers don’t have the same mindset as you!
Bash on get a Bayersan....then you might realise that the slight inconvenience of tightening the clamp every now and again ain’t no big deal.

Shouldn’t you be asking what is the best carbon fibre pole on the market rather than the cheapest? I hope your customers don’t have the same mindset as you!

Perhaps I should have rephrased that, a cheapER pole rather than cheapest, I take it from your reply that Bayersan are a no go? This is why I asked on here.

The strongest but not the lightest pole I’ve ever had was a facelift 25ft carbon about 10 years ago,brilliant pole it earned 1000s in its life.
Sit down and work out how much a pole earns you if it’s an everyday pole a few quid here and there with the best pole you’ll more than make up for it.

Does anyone know anything about the spot lite carbon pole from Cleaning Spot? Toss up between that, Phantom hybrid and slx I can reach 3 storeys with a 25 and have the bottom 3 sections of a clx 31 to add on if I need anything higher, which is basically 2 commercial and one domestic property

you shouldnt have to constantly adjust the clamps on a gardiner pole...it must be user error......i may give a few of them a nip up once or twice a week but its not a major issue....and certainly its not a reason to buy a pole thats not made by gardiners.....
personally i just buy a new xtreme 25 every 12-18 months now....
if you want to make your working day the most efficient and easiest it can possibly be then this is the answer IMO.....

Mate sounds like you need to up your prices if you been using the same pole 8-9 years and looking for the cheapest carbon there is!!
Get yourself an slx and be done with it, £250 for an slx22 is hardly breaking the bank.
I replace my poles every 12-15 months and that’s xtremes, if I had slx I’d probably try and make them last longer but its a days work and you can use the pole for the rest of the year making profit😁

I buy my water from Bayersan. Good people.
I've also used cleaning spot, very rude, all French- says it all really.
This could be useless information tho as I've never bought a pole from either!

As has been said it should not be needed to constantly have to tighten the levers - even on a worn pole :)
How old is the pole?
What condition is it in?
Is it that the lever sets are coming loose - if so how quickly?
Have you tried fitting new locking nuts?
Generally a lever set will only need adjusting for one of two reasons:
1. if the pole has worn - this rarely would happen enough in 1 day to be noticeable.
2. if the locking nut has allowed the bolt adjuster to turn in use. This is more likely and if this is the case replacing the locking nuts inside the clamp assembly will prevent this happening.
A new set of 5 locking nuts would cost £1.25+VAT which is even cheaper than a new pole, so probably worth a try :)

Not same pole exactly lol, but same TYPE of pole. I have had 1 clx and 2 slx 25 ft. The current one is almost 2 years old.

You can't beat Gardiners for poles, SLX 22 is the best pole out there imo.
