Has anyone has any experience with this battery? I understand the gel battery are better .
This also comes with 6 year warranty. Will this work with the cteck 5a charger ?

I have no idea , Spruce is the man to ask , but what you might find is that any supplier that knows you want it for window cleaning will void the 6 year warranty !
So don’t tell em ;D

This is the sentence that worries me;
Gel batteries require either close attention to charging settings or their own specialised charger.
.. and here's what I would be concerned about.

According to Ctek's website this mxs5 is suitable for Gel batteries, but I can't see anything in the instructions to say how they set it up.

If you have a 5amp charger and your 110amp battery is virtually fully discharged, then its going to take 22 plus hours to fully recharge. Not sure how happy I would be with that data.
My Sterling BB1260 Battery to Battery charger has a special setting for Gel batteries but my Numax 230v intelligent battery charger doesn't.

Gell batteries are awesome I have two haze 180 amp ones now 5:5 years old run three pumps 8 hours a day 9 kw boiler 2 x electric reels ,and internal lighting in the van in winter months and have a specialist charger in the van the boiler alone has done over 12,000 hours run time on the original batteries I had them checked only a couple of months ago and was told they are as good as new , they are charged up overnight every night , thoroughly recommend them much better than any leisure battery’s .

they are charged up overnight every night
Thats the key to success with any battery.

Thanks for your experience. You have a special dedicated charger fitted by a marine engineer if I've joined the dots right.
The trouble is that most of us haven't a clue when it comes to fitting specialised equipment.
I don't think you have auxiliary charging via the van's alternator either, so this could be another hurdle for some who haven't off street parking.
Last night I did a search for a specialised charger for Gel batteries - nothing.
This morning I looked on Victron's site. They sell Gel batteries but I can't find a reference to a specialised charger.
If I was considering a Gel battery I would focus on pricing the right charger and if the battery could be used with a split charge relay.

I just messaged them regarding what charger to use and this is what they've sent me

I think I need to clarify what I said yes you are right about my set up , the charger is designed to charge many types of batters you program it for the type of batteries being used so it can be used over a wide range of applications, it can evan charge two different types of battery’s at the same time

So you have to set the charging program to suit the battery you are charging. That makes sense as a gel battery has a different charging algorithm than an ordinary lead acid battery.

I'm skeptical tbh.
I can't find any literature/instruction manuals on line that give instructions on how to set this charger up for gel batteries.
Gel batteries have a different charging profile to ordinary lead acid batteries.

If the charging voltage is too high then the battery will fail.
