Title: Broken univalve avoidance

Please see this that we recommend if you need to change wfp hose.
Add a barbed fitting, or both sides if you like.
This way will avoid damage when removing the o-clips.

If a univalve breaks or plays up it can be easily swapped out if it plays up.

We use the plastic barbs to push fit john guest fitting 8mm.

Post by: dazmond on February 24, 2020, 06:15:29 pm: i dont see the point personally...my original univalve has just given up the ghost after 3+years of trouble free service...in that time ive had to replace the PU pole hose once.....its a 10 min job to cut off the o clips,remove the old hose off the univalve and replace with new hose......its just another extra fitting you dont need on your pole hose IMO.....

I feel the same as Dazmond. One thing I’ve learned over the years is to keep my kit as simple as possible.
The more bits and pieces you have attached to it the more there is to go wrong or break.
Much as I love JG connectors, I found that when left inside a damp pole they can corrode, and after a while break apart. I used to have them fitted either side of my univalve but removed them when I found this happening.
I have one fitted at the base of the pole creating a tubeless setup and I’ve broken only 3 in 3 years.
