Looks like someone else has beaten me to it. Fair play to POF. What he has done looks very good for our industry. Good luck to him.

Impressive set up.

Can anyone explain the salt regeneration part in a little more detail?

Brilliant is all I can say.

What amases me is the pure to waste ratio.

Now the big question Lee. How often do you have to change your carbon block filter? Also, what carbon block filter are you using?

Thanks

Wow! Very impressive.

You’re gonna need your own reservoir soon! ;D

The salt container creates brine water inside the black cylinder. Once the resin in one of the blue bottles is spent the brine water flushes through it to regenerate the resin. At the same time it switches to the other bottle so that it runs all the time with softened water going to the RO. This offers maximum protection to the membranes from scale causing it to slow down and the water quality to drop.

Carbon/5micron sediment filter will change every 6 weeks based on our use.

All parts supplied by GAPS water. The RO unit is their C series (4000) Clack duplex 40L auto softner. Grundfoss mains and RO booster pumps. Axeon HF5 membranes.

Very professional set up. I had to laugh because the item you practically skipped over, the di vessel is the sum total of my own set up. But then our water is around 30 tds.
Well done Lee.

Yes I will say it again of course we are on a meter.  Door knocking works fine for single operators that don't do direct debit.

Thanks for watching! Smashed that number since then!

Hi Lee

Fantastic setup indeed!

The only questions I have are concerning the DI used. What size is it, would two not have been better and how often are you changing resin?

Post by: Lee Pryor on February 11, 2020, 06:56:21 pm
This is a 25l vessel and the water going in is 3-5 ppm so is more than enough. I always have a new bag of resin on the shelf and test every few  days. Just looks small next to everything else!

What makes you think he’s going to sell it? This is to supply his own 20 odd vans.

Edit - My bad, didn’t watch all the video. 🙄

We will be selling as mentioned in the video.

We are about to upgrade our transfer pumps, hoses and nozzles to fuel grade setup.  We will be adding flow meters as part of this to measure the water dispensed, then use stipe in our office to take card payments.

Thanks Lee , shall I put you down for 12 then
 ;D ;D ;D
It has been well liked on the platforms I have shown it on but I get the feeling that it’s still more than what people want to pay !
The stainless heat exchanger unit alone is costing me £250 in parts and labour, I simply can’t do it for any less , I’m better off cleaning windows else  :(

I think you should charge more. £1500. Dont undervalue your time or effort.

We are fine with cold. Trouble I have is I need things as simple as possible as our kit gets hammered by my team and it would just be something else to go wrong and cost to run. If I were a single opperator I would have already ordered one from you.

I can’t even sell em for £850 let alone £1500
Tell a lie , sales total is 1 so far  :D

Marketing!

Why not get hold of a larger supplier and sell it through them.

I had a supplier on the phone yesterday as it happens , long story short , he said that as I had already put a price out there it would be hard for him to make anything off the top unless I did a trade price that only put me £100 up per unit .
I think I may have shot myself in the foot with  retailers  ::)roll
One day I will learn  :-\

P@F I really think things will pick up sales wise. It just takes time.

Best thing you can do is advertise, make videos of it up and running, pictures etc.

That’s nonsense from The supplier about price. You’ve said yourself this is an introductory price of £850.

Advertise things as “introductory offer”. That way people know it might not always be that cheap.

If I didn’t have a grippa system I’d definitely be getting more info from you.
