Title: Dry carpet cleaning
Post by: md_cleaning on February 09, 2020, 08:20:33 am
I have a carpet and upholstery cleaner now advertising near me for dry cleaning claiming to be so much better than us, I don't see how dry cleaning can be as effective, I know the obvious advantage but has dry cleaning really improved this much?

The short answer is no.

I think we are talking about the same company who also have a discount offer on stray fm  vouchers.

There will always be people who are taken in by the concept and the company will up sell the benefits not the down sides.

I have done jobs in the past, that after inspection the company offering a dry system said couldn’t do.

If it was brilliant then the main suppliers would be pushing dry systems over hot water extraction and we would all be going down that road.

No carpet cleaning is totally dry, the driest is compound cleaning like Host.

Bonnet cleaning is wet but with only a very small percentage of water so they often call it ‘dry’ cleaning.

Nothing cleaning better than the flushing action of water, all dry methods use absorption to remove solid from a dirty carpet  which is not an effective method.

A slight difference is encap which either hides the dirt or bleaches it
