interested to know , what is your prefered detergent , and why?
also how do you apply it ?eg do you put on the brush head , or do you put it into a back pack ?
I have always used cif until now, as I don't generally do a lot of them . I only usually do existing customers, and they are not too dirty as they are done yearly or two yearly.
I pass a lot of these jobs on as I am concentrating on windows .
however I have taken on my other daughter (I have 2) so whilst I am building more window regulars I will do more gutters to bring in more revenue.

Virosol diluted 10-1 sprayed on with back pack , it desolves most things needing less scrubbing with the pole, rinses easily with no sticker residue

Screwfix 'No Nonsense degreaser.' Only rarely need to use it though.
Method: Apply a small amount to the brush and a little burst of water. Scrub, leave to soak whilst doing another window. Go back brush and rinse off

I've always used stuff you can find in supermarkets.
All purpose cleaner
Bleach
Washing up liquid
Cream cleaner
When I used to valet cars the best degreaser I used was autosmart G101 which is an all purpose cleaner. Pretty sure it would work great on upvc.

Is the correct answer.
I’ve tried probably 10 different TFR’s and non have beaten Virosol. Smells lovely too.

TFR - G101 - Virosol - pretty much all the same - used them all, just be careful not to let them dry on the glass
we have always used one of the above for first cleans
pink stuff is also good for heavy staining and marks

If you have the time for it and charge accordingly. Use the "pink stuff" cleans up lovely

I use hot, but use Virosol on first cleans and any upvc/ gutter cleans. Great stuff. I spray it neat onto my brush, scrub onto surface , bit of water to lather up, scrub, leave while doing up another section. Go back, scrub clean, spray off. Fan jets on the lighter Xtreme brushes make it easier on the shoulders , especially for gutter , soffit cleans.
I tried tfr, but didn’t rate it. Virosol all the way for me. Straightforward to use.

thank you for your replies.
virisol seems to be every ones fav.
I will try it in a back pack ;D

I used TFR bought on eBay in 20 litre drums, works great, for really gross conditions I add a splash of Caustic TFR. Be careful not to let it dry and wet any plants within dripping distance. I apply from bucket and brush, do small sections, once a section is applied then brush and rinse off the beginning of that section and gunk just falls off. I've used many proprietary brands which are more expensive, all products I've used are used within the manufacturing guidelines and are biodegradable. Stuff is cheap and good ....

Had used Virosol for years, decided to give Screwfix no nonsense degreaser a try, works better in my opinion and costs peanuts.
