Im curious to know what others think is likely to be the going rate for cleaning of a roof-mounted solar pandl complex. The details are as follows.
Roof mounted, on a small number of barns, though its a reasonably flat roof. Slope angle of roof ranges from about 15° to maybe 25°, so easy enough to work on.
Total number of panels is 1200.
I have got the job but am interested to see what others might suggest they’d quote the work at. I have been given a copy of another cleaning companies quote and to be frank am quite surprised, as were the owners.

How much did Solar Steve pay his subcontractors a panel? Was it 12p or 17p a panel? ;D

20 p per panel needless it say we didn’t do many for him 😂😂😬

Anyone know what he reckons he was quoting at?
-
Lol 20p per panel I thought people earned good money cleaning them.

If you clean 10000 panels for him it looks good money evan at 20 p per panel but it’s not for me Ime afrade

20p per panel....is that a joke?
-
Yeah but why would I want to clean that many panels lol,I like my shoulders but I wouldn’t at the end of the day after cleaning that many for peanuts. I clean 10 4ft square ones and she pays me 80 notes this one customer so I think I’ll stick with what I charge thanks.

It’s when you see thousands of them in a field . I’d lose where I was. As in which ones I’d cleaned.

Unfortunately not that’s what he offered us and I know that was more than he paid others ,

I’ve seen a quote of his for a job at £4.00 a panel.
Quite impressive I reckon, considering its no extreme to knock out 300 panels a day. Its my opinion thats a conservative figure.

He expected us to do minimum of 800 panels a day to make any money you need to do 1000 !!!!!

How many panels was that?
The prices he was offering subbies was ridiculous. There was still a steady stream of them on here willing to take the jobs off him though, probably still is.

1500 panel job that one.
The customer knew it was way over the top which is why I was given a copy of it. This was before I’d offered my quote, which was odd I thought. Basically they gsve me the job at whatever price I wanted, so really Mr SS did me a favour and bit off his own nose in the process.
Can’t win em all.

75p per panel works out a good hourly rate...you can do 4 in a minute if you have a wide brush with four jets....you dont need pure either. There, ive said now..... ::)roll ;D
-
Dont be stupid.
You cannot clean 4 solar panels a minute. Minute after minute after minute. Unless theyre all within a 2 yard distance from you, are reasonably clean to start with and extremely easily accessible, i.e. on the ground.
These broad, sweeping statements on here are about as useful as a chocolate fireguard.
4 panels a minute, 8 hours a day, 75p each, that works out at £1440.00. a day. Lightweight.
There, ive said now..... ::)roll ;D
Some things are better left unsaid.

Give me a bell tomorrow if you want.
