Title: Pump cycling, Help!

Can Some one help? I have just fitted out my van with my diy system.Tank to  filter to shurflo 100 to varistream to  di tank  to outlet. All in 1/2 inch,no leaks,no air locks. This is then run through 100 m off microbore to my pole. The problem is that my pump is cycling when the full 100 m is used to my pole,but when i run water straight out of an outlet it dos,nt cycle. My question is, is it the 100 m of microbore that is making my pump cycle. Any help most welcome.

Hi Paul

If you mean "cycling" as in the varistream switching the pump off then on you probably need to recalbrate your varistream.   They are factory pre-set and can be adjusted.

Take the front panel screws out and you will be able to see a small blue dial. There are letters on this dial. The higher the letter the more pressure the pump will give before going to standby. Increase it letter by letter until you dont get it switching off. Dont try moving it up a few letters at a time.. do it one by one. You can leave the front cover unscrewed while you do this.. just be carefull.

Hopefully that will sort it out for you.

Is your shurflo 100psi?

paul if you do remove cover from varistream systems anychance of a photos to see what the make up is of one

Just been messing with the varistream,think it is working better now. Sorry no photos available, a digital camera is next on my list.
