Title: TDS metre
Post by: ants on December 22, 2019, 03:08:16 pm
Just bought a TDS  off Ebay....  ..£3.45 free delivery
It looks identical to the ones we buy off WFP DEALERS WHO CHARGE US £12/£15 for them????
It works perfectly  well
Just thought it worth a mention :)

They don’t last.
And they are not accurate after a while.
Always best to pay a little more.

I have used the cheapo ones for the last 8 years, sometimes they dont last but you cant be certain a £17 one is genuine or will last, better to buy several cheapo ones and throw them away when they have had it, they are accurate enough if your water is below 10pmm even the genuine ones only claim +/-3 pmm.
The genuine ones will need a battery swop after 18 months so Cheapo copies work out better value by far,

ive only ever bought 3 TDS meters in 10 years and 2 of them have been recently(the last 12 months).......ive always paid round £15 a pop from reputable suppliers

im not that tight fisted to take a chance on a cheapo one off ebay if im being honest! ;D
