Hi Nathan,
Just watched your youtube video of your wfp setup on video on March 19th 2018, what's the name of the hose connector you use to connect to the brass swivel elbow that goes onto hose reel and where do you get it from. I've only ever used hoselock fittings the standard plastic ones, and i just find they always end up leaking eventually. I'm trying to find ways to get less water in the van as i'm wanting to install electric reels in next few months and some other bits and bobs and fed up of water drips everywhere from certain plastic fittings. Do you ever get any leaks off your metal hose reel fittings?
Cheers mate

I had the ones he uses, got them from Gardiners, they are hoselock type 90 degree angle but looks like he put a jubilee clip arond it,they still leak on the elbow I found,I also had the rectus 26 fittings from them and still leak.

Hi!
Its just a swivel elbow but I bought mine from pure freedom.
I did use a hoselock connection on it but they eventually leaked, not a lot however.
I found it easily to attach the hose direct and use a jubilee clip. No leaks!!

Yes ive got the swivel elbows. Wait so your saying you run 1/2” hose from your pump directly to brass swivel and hold on place with jubilee clip? Never thought of that but im sick of leaks....

Those brass elbows leak from gardiners after a while

They do leak yeah

These brass fittings also ruin the thread as they seem to come slighly smaller and if you dont get it straight on the male axl of the reel the plastic will be damaged,I stick to plastic hoselock type fittings now.

Ive had the swivel for about 4 years or so and connected the hose straight to it, ever since ive used hot water. Its needs to be really tight, but Ive not suffered from leaks as yet

When it starts to leak and you check the internal washer you’ll see it will be almost disintegrated if you use hot water, they used to be the best of a bad bunch that swivel the only thing that lasted a while. Much better fittings on the market now.
