Title: free beer !!!?
Post by: carpetclean on July 05, 2006, 06:28:59 am
I have received a call today which causes concern for the NCCA. A member, who in a previous life was in the licensed trade, has pointed out that if you are providing alcohol from a commercial premise, whether or not it is sold or given away as a freebie, then you will need a license.

Could you please let me know what the situation is as the NCCA cannot be seen to be supporting an event that breeches the laws of the land.

Who said life was easy?

Best regards
Ken

i received this message today which will cause concern amongst you all i will contact woodbridge today to see about a license but doubt if this will happen and the last thing we need to do is break the law. i take total responsibility for not doing my research. but looks like soft drinks all round. i am sure though that this will not effect the day as it is proving popular and we can concentrate on the main reasons for the event

any publican has a license to supply beer on or off the property, all you got to do is invite one and offer him that 10,000 carpets cleaners will be round to clean his carpets for FREE after the event, at least it wont take long to do the gum  :D

all the best
