How many times the value do you sell a round for?
I take it it's based on turnover and not profit???
-
Depends on a few things..
How long the rounds been established for.
Prices of the houses
How compact it is.
-
Standard rule up here in scotland is three times the monthly value.
£1000 worth of work, you should get £3,000.
But then again I’ve heard of work being sold at close to 10 times. Work that is very well established and high prices.
At the end of the day though, it’s only worth what some one will pay for it.

Depends.
I wouldn't sell mine for 3x :o
Unless it was complete dross, spread out, poor payers that I didn't want, canvassing companies charge 3x.
I would be thinking upwards of 5x for decent work and probably more.
But it's only worth what someone will pay.

And your only buying goodwill at the end of the day.

Ive bought and sold a lot of goodwill then

On the whole, you’ll find it’s only worth what someone will pay, but if it was me, I’d start at 5x the income. You can always lower it...

In my area the x3 applies more to trad work, WFP work is more like x5

It also depends upon the area and mentality of the buyer.
Ive advertised work before at 4 times the turnover and five times. Even breaking down some figure and yet you get ones trying to simply work out the percentage average without reading. Lol it was some work i was getting rid off due to better pastures. I clearly stated that prices start at x price and ranged up to £x price. X number were 8 weekly n x number 4 weekly. It took one numpty not to do the maths right which showed an average of £10 per job and he got lower and the rest of the numpties jumped on the bandwagon.
Their loss, as i also mentioned how another cleaner hasnt been seen in 6 months and so potential for a whole lot more work. I had the round for over ten years and on wfp.
Needless to say I decided to keep the round and canvassed and the round has added another days work to it.
So you can try and get more than 3 times but if its say, south yorkshire, expect numpties to spend their time speculating and argueing with you than checking it out for the reality of it instead.

Very good work can easily fetch 9x or 10x.
Good work 6x or 7x
Average work 5x
Below average work... wait why are you even wasting your time with below average work!
(This is outside London and SE. As with everything, London and the Home Counties has its own rules)
