Are they from the US?
You can buy them from a guy on Ebay who exports them here I believe quite a few guys here have gone that route and got a good deal.
They are on there now

Seems there is a bit of discount on shipping for multiple units.

Had a look at that ones on ebay.
It works out at roughly £129 delivered.
But then you have import tax to pay on top of that!!
I think it 17.5%
That would bring it up to £152 which is pretty good :)
Looking at the pics on ebay of the battery. Can you have a spare that would fit in there? I don't think these batterys would last very long?
What happens if they run flat? Will it finish them?

heres the shurflo spare battery

Good on ya :)
This supplier is reputable (the US one) as he has supplied to members here. Why not if a few can band together and get a better deal?
Shurflo and the supposed UK sole distributor may not be too pleased if they get wind of it though.. thats my only reservation.

Jouk,
The one on ebay is a 12v 7 aph
Looked at the link you posted and they are 12v 18aph? or 26 aph?
What is the better one?

These are exactly the same backpacks as you would buy from a UK supplier ( I dont supply them so I have no interest in any way)
The spare batteries are also 7 amp hr.
Hope this helps

Just found out that the warranty wont stand!!
Because it was bought from the us!
Don't quite know how this works but a member of my family work in trading standards. I was half assleep when she told me :-[

If you purchase a backpack from the UK, then you will have a warranty of some sorts.
I purchased one last September for £215 (all in including postage and packaging) from Williamson Pumps.
Six months later and after a hard Winter my battery stopped working. I phoned Williamson Pumps and the battery wasn't covered in the warranty. In fact they didn't have any at that moment and I would have to wait for them to order some in.
After a 'safari', I got another two similar batteries for £5.00 each from a local car shop! So no big cheese.
I've also recently purchased a back pack from E-Bay (USA) for £170 in total.
My original backpack is still going strong, but I wanted a spare, just in case.
They're robust bits of kit and if one lasts me at least a year, I'm happy with that.
