Bloody brilliant. Light as a feather with widget fan jets. Cut my flow by half wish I’d bought the medium too. Have to say not been keen on fan jets on the glass and still hate the overspray so may fit pencils later. Also works great with a swivel. ;)
-
Unreal Dave :o
I was just going to post exactly that myself .
I was asking myself if it was a placebo trick but it can’t be if you got the same , my pump normally pulls 2.5 amp today I have knocked it back to 1.5 amp
My water is way hotter as its flowing slower !
I got red and grey fans but much prefer the red
Next is the medium as the stiff feels stiffer than usual if that makes sense
Well done Alex , an absolute belter of a brush, and the bumpers are very well thought out ;D
-
I really like the look of them. Shame they are not available in the 35cm brush range.
-
It’s awesome.
Little bit of a modification and you can fit the rinse bar too it also.
Very versatile brush.
-
Daz has got them on order , will he or won’t he Hmmm !
-

I’m the same, couldn’t go back to using a 26cm brush, perhaps Alex will bring out a 35cm version of the sill brush, weight might be an issue tho?
-

2 stiff xtreme sill brushes were delivered yesterday at my girlfriends house along with my new xtreme 25......im going round tonight so ill be giving them a try on monday morning.... 8)...they look great....
-
I used that brush today for the first time and was pretty impressed with it, early days yet but it does work well as a sill brush. Although I prefer 3mm jets. Let's just see how long the sill bristles last

Have I missed something, i thought daz came to the conclusion that the xtreme 25 was too fragile for every day use and went back to slx 25 or his cobbled together xtreme/slx?
-
I have been using the medium extreme sill for a few months and it’s great when cleaning 4 storey cleans and also when cleaning awkward window above large extensions etc as the brush don’t splay much and holds its firmness so the ends of the bristles do all the work very nice brush.
Would love a 35cm version, hope they release one.
Also if you are a rinsebar user this is compatible can position 5he bar close to the stock and clears the bristles easy.
-
However .............................
The results are terrible!!!!!
Not the brush but the 100 degree fans. They are good but don’t produce enough water in my opinion and overspray in clouds. I had terrible spotting this afternoon.
-
That’s fan jets I’m afraid I have never been a fan of them, good for weatherboard wash downs and cleaning the van that’s it imo.
-
Bugger, I bought two brushes but the other has brass jets not capsules. Ah well.
Like the capsule idea too. Dead simple.

it is..... but i used my cobbled together worn xtreme pole(made up of 3 different xtreme versions!) for a few days last week and bought another....you just cant beat the sheer ease of use......
ive resigned myself to buying a new xtreme 25 every year from now on i think..... ;D
-
Alex - 35cm please. Let us all know 😁

First job today I put the 100* in and found the same , had to crank the flow right up to get the volume of water I wanted , the result was massive fan patterns.
If the wider brushes do come with 4 jet holes then the grey 100* pods on the inner holes only would be superb I think .
I switched to the red 50* pods right away , they are the dogs danglers if you like fans !
-
You could say I was sheeting all over the place ;D

I prefer a good squirt ;D

:D ;D ;D

100° fans are no good, not enough water to create a waterfall on the glass. I went back to the 50° Fans after a month
-
Love it..
50 fans great.
Weight great.
-
I tried the 100% Fans last year, couldn't get on with them, i tried different flow rates to no avail,
i couldn't find a sweet spot with the spray, it was all over the place, plus i noticed spotting at the top of
the glass, i much prefer the 50% red fans.

Cleaned my own windows and a neighbours today with this new sill brush....its basically the same as a standard xtreme brush but with 2 rows of extra bristles at the bottom of the stock.....
First impressions....I like it....I have a lot of upper windows on the side of houses to clean next week with limited space....this brush will help to catch the sills as well as the glass....fantastically light compared to a standard sill brush.....I've also fitted the brush bumpers too.....👍
-
This brush will also be great for skylights(no changing angle of brush)...👍
-
This brush will also be great for skylights(no changing angle of brush)...👍
I found that already , normally it’s a pole down and put angle to 90* job and pole back up....not anymore !
-
used it all day today with a carbon gooseneck......great! :)
the angle is always right whether its down the side of a conny, cleaning a skylight or cleaning an upper window in a tight space due to the extra 2 rows of bristles at the bottom of the brush......thumbs up from me...... :)
its only marginally heavier than the standard xtreme brush but more versatile......only thing is i dont like the brush bumpers so took them off after an hour this morning....
-
Daz did you find them sticking to the brickwork an causing drag ?
Perhaps a harder grade of plastic might be better , doesn’t overly bother me though .
Did you find it stiffer though Daz ?

i found the bumpers working loose after a while, catching them on things.....i could glue them on i suppose but i dont see i need for them tbh.....ive never used them on any brush before.....
-
ive got a newer stiff version of the ultimate brush too(all red bristles)...personally i think they are stiffer than other stiff brushes alex used to sell......probably trying to stop them from going out of shape and increase longevity....hot water certainly kills brushes prematurely.........
-
Stopped using the cill brush until my jets arrive so gave the new medium xtreme with the tapered inner bristles a whirl today.
Very nice brush too.
Think I need a good clear out ;D

how many brushes do you think you have lying around dave?i must have close to 30!loads of heavy brushes which will never get used, most of them SL or old sill brushes and a few heavy xline brushes(although the flocked i use for cleaning the van)......
-
Not that many! ;D
Sold on the Xlines (good but heavy)
One or two Superlights, never use them.
Couple of Supremes, really don’t like them at all.
Cill brushes, used on roofs.
Dupont Ultimate (great brush)
One or two knackered Xtremes.
-
Get an Ultimate Dave ;D
What don’t you like about the Supreme out of interest?
-
Doh , you have one :P
-
For me, I found the bristles too long, the angle of splay wrong and the brush too heavy for it’s size. I found they lifted the lead off leaded windows.
Only my observations, obviously others would love them.
-
That’s exactly what I thought when I first saw it !
Fantastic coverage , but a huge splay of bristles that needs a thick stock to accommodate them , great for large plate glass no doubt .
-
Got the medium version today , it’s beaut, slides over everything so well , just have to make sure I keep the temps down a bit and not wreck it
-
You guys spend some brass on brushes. I only have 4.
One on each pole and a spare one.
-
No I don’t , I just retired 2 extremes kindly donated back in 2015 , I then bought an Ultimate in 2017 :o
Xtreme sill stiff was royalty payment last week , and I paid for an Xtreme medium yesterday which broke my heart ;D ;D
-

around £200 a year on brushes.......using hot water and the lightest brushes they dont last long.....
-
Mine did Daz , although they were no longer 26cm ;D

i dont know how you managed to make your xtreme brushes last so long!mine are knackered after 2 months,if not sooner.....
-
They all do with hot water Daz there’s not a medium brush out there that can handle hot water,I’ve got lots of brushes I alternate otherwise they deform in no time with hot water.
You could always go for the bass broom type or what they call stiff and is suitable for hot water.
-
The stiff supreme is the best hot water brush I’ve found.
Mines a year old and perfect.
Although it’s stiff, it has a medium feel because of the splay.
-
This brush will also be great for skylights(no changing angle of brush)...👍
I found that already , normally it’s a pole down and put angle to 90* job and pole back up....not anymore !
Don’t you both find you’ll be squirting water up the velux though as opposed to directly on it or slightly down it?
-
Been using the flocked extreme today, cracking brush!
-
I’ve been using the medium sill one with 50*c all day , it really is a great brush .
I have put the stiff sill one on my 35 footer , it splays just right due to a heavier pole .
-

3 days of use......
-
I rest my case lol, cold water users only please 😂 don’t last 5 minutes.
-
They all do it they can’t handle hot water at all that’s the next thing they need to get to grips with, once you’ve got a brush innthat condition new or not it’s had it if you reshaped it the problem would re occur in minutes with hot water.
It’s no good coming back with you need to use the stiff versions because they are ridiculously stiff.
-
Daz , how hot was the water ?

around 50c......this always happens to all my brushes....itll be ok for another couple of months but you can see itll be knackered in 2 months time.....

You must be an animal Daz ;D

they dont look like they ve been used yet mate..... :o
give it another day and theyll look like mine..... ;D
-
Wouldn't worry Daz. The brush will still clean just as good. It's just the cosmetic look of it not its performance.
-
Daz the red one did this on one day and 12 houses on another day .

-
your brushes are dry in the pics...mine was taken just as i finished my last job so my brush probably looks worse because its wet.....the reason the bristles are bent on one side is hooking out spiders nests in the corner of windows! ::)roll ;D
-
Use ya finger or get a swivel mate , let’s you hit the web straight on
This is my standard Xtreme I have just retired it .
Alex sent me this after my stroke in January 2015 , my finger is how wide it was ;D

Not really, those gaps in between the bristles won't be ideal.

maybe i should ease off and not scrub with as much pressure, ive always been heavy handed/strong though.......
ive even put a few bass drum skins through playing drums over the years! ;D
-
My extreme sill is months old and Looks like new too.
Daz you must just be a shrek of window cleaning.

If you have bumpers on your sill brush glue them as I have already lost one after only 9 jobs :'( :'(
-
That’s why I ordered 4 extra sets along with the optional ones with each brush
Not had one fall off yet !
-
I’m ready for war ;D

Well that’s the second full day with 50*c at the brush head using the medium soft Xtreme sill brush, and it still looks like when I opened the box ;D

I’m watching the days tick by 😜
-
Would you recommend the medium or stiff brush for domestic use?
Cheers
-
I would go with the medium all day long , unless you use very hot water or you are an animal like Daz ;D
-
I have a stiff one (ooh err!)
It does tend to skip about on the glass with cold water. I’m hoping it might soften up a bit with use as it seems stiffer than the original stiff xtremes. Makes it a very fast brush.
I’d recommend the medium.
The normal Xtreme medium is a cracking little brush.
