Title: rust in the toilet
Post by: Spiceman on July 03, 2006, 03:45:53 pm
Hi all,

I have a problem with the toilets at an engineering factory where we clean.
There are rust marks in the toilets. They were without a cleaner for some time and when we started they expected the toilets to appear as new ... but brown stains remain despite our best efforts using regular cleaners. It would seem to us that perhaps the previous cleaners disposed of the dirty mop water down the toilets without flushing away the metel particals properly thus leaving some badly ingrained rust stains ... can anyone suggest a solution that might get the porceilain to look white again?

Thanks
John

Hi John
You might try Vanisol toilet cleaner it's a high acid toilet cleaner, you have to empty the pan of water and apply the cleaner with it's own small mop type applicator and leave for a few minutes for the contact time to work, I have used it on toilets that had been neglected for years and it brought them back . I dont know where you are try the sponsors of this forum or Smith & Osman in Cowley they have it.
