Hi folks,
Noticed yesterday my solenoid valve didn’t stop my tank from filling. Luckily I caught it before it flooded my van. When you press the switch on the side of the controller the solenoid clicks as normal. And when the water reaches the cut of point you hear the valve click but it just keeps filling?
Any ideas?
I’ve attached a pic of my solenoid valve.
Cheers for any ideas you’ve got.

Guessing the valve needs replacing?
Ideally you need to strip it down then test it.

Mmm...ok. What do you mean by strip it down and test it?

The valve may have become clogged up with particles in the inlet water supply. This could cause the valve to stick. Is there an inline filter before the solenoid ?
-
Its probably scaled up , just replace it , not worth the bother of stripping as they usually dont last much longer anyway.

I’ll check the filter and try cleaning the valve as best I can.
Thanks very much for your help chaps.
