Title: Filling Van Issue Outside Port Help!
Post by: MrWindowClean on August 01, 2019, 07:48:39 pm
Hey Guys,
The last few nights when I've been filling my van the hose as disconnected out of the hose connector on the port to fill my van, I've bought a new connector nothing has changed everytime the Van's nearly filled it pops off leaving me to have to re connect the hose into the connector and start filling again.

Anyone know what the cause could be?

I use a baileys 4040 ro system if that helps

I would suggest changing the plastic hose connectors for 'metal' ones.

O clips to suit the size hose you are using.

If it's like my pure freedom one with hoselock connectors (normal outside tap stuff) it's almost certainly the black rubber 'o' ring that's worn - just replace and it'll be all good.

Pennies on Ebay or pinch one off another connector for now

I use a baileys 4040 ro system if that helps

Sounds like a venting issue to me ,  you may have a vent but if the air left in the tank doesn’t get to the vent when almost full it will cause the tank to pressurise and pop the hose off

Had this before and we changed the rubber O ring on the van port which solved the problem.
