It's not set in stone yet but Perhaps we're going to be a great country once again after all ;D
If the dividends also remain 7.5 percent up to £80k and with corporation tax going down to 18% effective tax on that income would be little less then 20% even including Corp!
Dare I say we may even be inline to compete with the USA on take home pay!

Where will that money come from though?

Where will that money come from though?
The benefits bill hopefully.
It’s about time the hard work and guts it takes to start and run a business is rewarded instead of laziness.

Which benefits would you cut first?

Aye, it's definitely the folk with the least that are to blame. For sure.

Benefits for the alcohol dependable people , my sisters ex used to get paid £300 a week in benefits because he couldn’t work as he was an alcoholic. You’ll never guess what he spends his benefits money on???
Benefits for single parents- especially the kind that turns upto school in the latest Nike trainers and latest gear, smoking at the school gates , goes out boozing every weekend, massive flat screen tv in their council house and then says they’ve no money. I think that’s where boris should start anyway
-
Works out to £3,000 more currently if you make that amount only on paye bit more on self-employment too.
Not sure if they'll keep the same structure for the dividends because it would be a huge loss for them if they keep the personal dividend tax at 7.5% up to the new threshold I think it could be £10,000 better off!.
But then many directors who can afford to pay themselves more will ..so technically it can generate more tax which is the idea as well as rewarding hard work.

It's always a hard one to call though, as there are always people who legit need it and those who take advantage of the system and its always the latter who spoil a great thing which initially was set up to help

World average is about 23%, Europe is about 18% so UK is about average, not one of the lowest in western world. Tories got in just after a worldwide economic crash, there was always going to have to be cuts. Its sameold sameold, when times are good Labour get in when times are poop Tories are in and get the blame for the poop. Pensions should have been sorted years ago, its only recently workplace pensions were introduced. They should have came in 20 years ago.
Amazon, PayPal, Statbucks etc need to be sorted. Its criminal they pay whatever they like. Ed Sheeran paid more than Amazon last year.

The problem with all socialiam is everything's hunky dory until you run out of other people's money...
no system is perfect but our current has proven most consistent over a long period of time.
Rewarding hard work will keep the money coming in proven in some of the most powerful economic areas of the world.

Was my point that hard to understand? Ireland operates a low corp tax regime and does very well from it. The multis do pay "some"tax but they pay it in Ireland. I don't think Johnson has any intention of lowering corporation tax, its a Bluff to get the EU's attention. They don't want the UK as a low corp tax haven next door, especially Ireland who are insisting on the backstop. Oh and just cause you seem to like them so much ::)roll ::)roll ::)roll ::)roll ::)roll

I don't really have a clue about politics or the economy to be honest.

Most window cleaners are one man bands and lowering corp tax want benefit them at all and most tax loopholes are because there head office is not in there current country, plus big business dont give a poop and dont help your average person, we live in a sweatshop society stagnant wage growth, we live in a rig economy where money goes up, as trickle down economics does not work

Yep seriously, the guy has all the latest clothes, smoked cigs , weed & drank every day

There's certainly good money in benefits
Especially for a single mother.
Say 5 kids that's about £600 a month in child tax credit plus around £300 in child benefit.
Rent paid, free school meals and prescriptions, dentist, doctors etc.
Might get working tax credit as well depending
And if the fathers of her kids are paying maintenance she gets that on top of her benefits which could be hundreds a month

Iv yet to meet a person on benefits who I would swap lives with, even if she was getting £2k a month ( which she wont be ) it wouldn't come close to keeping a family of six above the minimum living wage standard never mind any sort of luxury.

Who said they were living the dream or the kids were lucky ?
I said there's decent money in benefits
2k a month is nothing to be sniffed at with no rent payments.
It's not the best life but it far from the worst either

I wish I or we (as in my family) had 2k a month after rent left to pay the bills and bring up the kids

My turnover is probably similar to yours, but obviously tax takes a fair old chunk....
But thats to support a family of 4, plus pay maintenance to my ex. Plus my rent a fair bit more than yours...

I got that.
What's basically being said in this thread is that we should all get tax cuts and to pay for it; we should take the money from single mothers?

Children don’t really need food and clothes, do they.

Single mothers dont really need children.

Were they always single? Is it poor parent selection on the child’s part?

So, who's gonna bring this thread back to window cleaning then,
Agree Yes let's leave politics alone for now.
The point of this topic was too to make everyone aware about the new threshold proposed so regarding our window cleaning income we can look forward to to earning more take-home money
So stack up those profits ;D if you have a surplus to your 50k lower threshold.
Just imagine you've already paid your corporation tax next year you might just be able to ping yourself over an extra £30,000 if it remains at 7.5 percent that'll mean an instant take home of £27750 of those particular profits :).
