And Supermarine sold Spitfires in their tens of thousands even though Martin-Baker made an equally good plane. Head-starts and all that.

Not all bad news - Martin-Baker went on to become a world leader in ejection seats. Still are.

I'm not going to even click the link.

History has told me the last 20 times I've done so  on your videos it's been total poope.

I'm going to hazard a guess you haven't managed to re invent the wheel on this one either.

I don't understand why people come on to say DIY stuff doesn't work or isn't as good when they have no clue because they've never tried the things they criticise. ::)roll ::)roll
Many of the manufactured products around today come from the minds of DIYers, eg. Quickloc, swivels
Just saying. ;D

Buddy, your persist ant that's for sure.
We ain't criticising the DIY fanatic that you are, it's just that we don't need to in the UK.
Now, have we said that before........... Erm yes many a times.  Therefore as much as you may benefit from these adaptions, we won't and never will and its frustrating to constantly see you wasting your time in doing so.  We'll, on here anyway.

True looks nothing unique
Well Darran if you have a look at this swivel movement there is some differing's  that you would not notice until you have in your hand.
Also it seems no one wants to say too much about the Gardiners version of there swivels on past problem with there's as well
??
What's you thoughts on these or is there other swivels Gardiner has.?

Gardiners make two models. The only difference between the two is shaft length. The shorter ones are too short, always get the slightly longer one.

Been using a Gardiners swivel since they came out. Never had a problem with one yet.
They do wear a little, just tighten the screw occasionally. Certainly don’t feel the need to bodge one of my own.
You’re about ten years too late Herman, we were crying out for a good swivel before Gardiners gave us one.

Should of said what is the difference between using long to short shaft how does it affect the way you use it?

When you need to change the brush angle, depending on where you are standing in relation to the house, there's insufficient space to hold on to the shorter swivel. The longer one is excellent, but that might just be me, maybe for some the shorter one is better suited.

I've used a couple of swivels - there not for me

Thing is Herman, you think your designs are the best thing since sliced bread. They may well be but for us to ‘try it’ and ‘you don’t understand’ then we will all have to retire to the shed with a hot air gun, bit’s of plastic, boxes of screws and start bending.
To be honest although there’s plenty of hot air on here I’m not sure there’s many benders.
Just make a proper job and send it to Gardiners for approval then if it’s that good maybe he’ll put them into production as you obviously aren’t in a position to do.
The worlds moved on, people have busy lives and can’t be arsed with closet brush fondling these days. We just pick up the phone and order a new cheap product that arrives the next day .......... and works!

I might also add that if it’s the same few people that answer your posts then I can only guess that the other twenty thousand or so just aren’t interested?

......................... or, make a dozen quality examples, send them to forum members for a review. Send one to me if you like and I’ll test it for a few months, see if it’s better than my Gardiner swivels.

Don't worry Alex Gardiner already knows as he did when I put that quick lock video up.
Dose not worry me if most people are not interested it's normally the ones that say nothing that understand.
Although Alex this time at least give a bit credit for our ideas.

So what is it you actually want?
Do you want people to make their own?
Do you want to put them into production?
Do you want someone else to produce them?
Do you just want to knock Gardiners?

Say I tested one, wrote a glowing review then what? If you don’t have a patent then I might produce them.

Prob 40,000 people haven’t responded so you’ve obviously got a lot of interest.

I haven’t clicked on any of the videos but going by the title you’ve nicked the wagtail swivel design in the past too. Hardly original and yet you complain constantly of Gardiners taking your idea. (Something that’s been around in other applications for over fifty years).

Why do you have to tighten screw for??
OH that's right it starts flopping from side to side.
[/quote]

For me, the swivel function on my brush is really useful and I wouldn't want to be without it.
In reply to the above comment - if it didn't move freely from side to side, it wouldn't be a lot of good.  Moving freely is key to controlling the swivel. Some of us like a little more tension in the swivel than others and that's one of the functions of the screw along with taking up the slack from wear and tear.  However, on that score, I've used mine for several years and only had to tighten it slightly about half a dozen times. I don't consider this an issue considering the amount of use it gets.

Got to say though, that I have made parts that I use myself that I feel are better than production versions and I'm sure I'm not alone.

I have a swivel I got years ago , couldn’t get on with it , I think design might have changed  a bit .
I would like to give it another chance as didn’t  give it chance first time round, but if it’s now changed there seems little point
