Home-made job. Once the spacer is fitted on the reel, you'll know what I mean if you've got a home-made one, you'll not look back.

Why does someone like pure freedom not supply the kit to make there very good hose reel
Into an electric one I am sure they would sell plenty

Because they are wider and hose doesn't fall off the sides,its also got a variable speed control with digital display(it also displays battery reading)......

Made a homemade one years ago, more for the fun of it, but it’s been brilliant and never missed a beat. Cost less than £40.
All the parts are on eBay.
Once it’s has its day, I will buy a reelmaster from pure freedom. I could make another DIY but it’s more for tax reasons that I’ll shell out for the professional one.

Same as zesty, mines a DIY one a d cost £50 to make it. Its the s bend reel from pure freedom with the plastic side discs, which I have attached my cog to. The chain goes to the rear of the reel and due to my van set up, you cannot tell its an electric one.
I love to tinker and adapt things to how I like, (disclaimer: not on H man's level tho ;D). I personally haven't seen an electric reel which I thought, wow that's better than mine or that I wish I had that Parton mine 😁
