Title: Carpal tunnel syndrome
Post by: ֍Winp®oClean֍ on June 22, 2019, 02:59:41 pm
Suffered from this for decades now but got to the stage where after a minute I can no longer feel the pole in my hands! I no longer suffer the pains that usually come with this but the numbness has got really bad now.

What I would like to know- has anyone had "successful" surgery to cure the symptoms? I have spoken to people in the past who had surgery and the results were very mixed with seemingly more negative than positive. I suppose I am hoping things may have improved from medical/surgery perspective.

I haven’t personally but a friend of mine had both wrists  operated on and said that it made a considerably difference, I guess it helps some and not others , hope you are able to get it sorted out .

Conservatory roof cleans bring on my tennis elbow and carpel tunnel, luckily this year so far I’ve not had to do many.

To make up for it I have a torn rotor cuff apparently.

I get it playing drums sometimes as well as poling windows.......no pain just numbness......it normally happens on the first job or 2 of the day then goes away....

Sometimes I cant feel my right hand at all esp during the last few songs of long lively second set when I'm on stage.... ::)roll

I thought about getting surgery but it's not chronic enough for me to worry about it too much.....

I had (have?) carpal tunnel syndrome, chuffing awful it is. Medication for arthritis controlled the symptoms but that's probably overkill for you. The surgery is allegedly pretty straightforward.

Good luck with it.

Unfortunately Hman, it happens reading a paper, looking at my phone etc. A change of w/c'ing tool ain't gonna help.

I play guitar and it's always been an issue with my left (fretting) hand (right handed) but never until recently have I had issue with my (right) picking hand! When you can't feel the plectrum between your thumb and first finger you're in trouble!!  :-\

Yes that what I thought too.
After using my DIY squeegee handle for over 7 years with the square quick lock on it.
Only realized that if put this square piece on the end of any squeegee handle .
That it also made it easier to grip like the DIY self one.
With this never had problems.
And yes have had all symptoms numb fingers, cramping wrist, forearms and also have arthritis in hands as well.
As said before just try it .
You will never know other wise.

That's what I had. Only bothered me at night. It woke me up and would only go away if I got up and walked about.

that sounds more like a circulation problem to me rather than CTS......

It's carpal tunnel syndrome. They did tests.

I know 2 people who have had surgery for CTS and both were successful.

The first was a window cleaner and the second a customer.

I get it when I visit pornhub.com. I don’t know why but it’s fine apart from when I go there.
