There are a few companies that bombard me on a daily basis offering to do FB ads for my business but at a high cost of between £4 to £500 a month!!! Personally I find these prices to be totally inflated so I'm asking the question on here is there a cheaper way of doing this?
I've done ads myself and boosted posts but other than joe public liking the post and maybe a couple of potential jobs even this seems a waste of money!
Am I doing something wrong?

To make facebook work you need to keep updating your page daily - and with interesting things, not just about window cleaning
for example the other half has been doing 'live chat' for a large climbing frame company - they have over 25k followers on their page yet not a single sale comes from FB - why? - the page is updated sporadically and only/solely with climbing frame photos. its boring and nothing on there gets picked up by google.
Post daily - make it funky, find stories and fun news to add - all this will help promote your page

Is there a local 'Do You Know' facebook page that you can join?
I joined mine and began by following up enquiries from members looking for a window cleaner.
I got a few, and now I don't need to follow any up as I get a lot of recommendations from members who became satisfied customers.
