Title: Pole end caps

How do you get them off? I need a new one as I extended the hole in the base to allow the reel hose to pass through, but the inner sections afe now poking through and Im getting shards of carbon fibre stuck in my hand

Cut it down the side with a sharp knife and pull it apart.
