So i got this job having already managed to give it a good deep clean I have completed the job once using all manner of tools but avoided walking on the roof, kinda cool huh !
Its a massive roof the size of two football pitches it only has a very tiny slope about 5 degrees, almost flat
So im looking for the best way now to service clean the roof what inventions or super cool ideas exist im looking for a water fed pole cross hoover/ squeegee? has anyone fitted a hoover to suck up the dirty water or some overlapping squeegee that i can pull down with the brush to speed up the drainage process , i need help getting rid of the dirty water.
At present i use two extreme poles one fitted with a squeegee and basically dry as i go but can this be done in one tool?
Im a qualified abseiler, the roof is tough, safe for little guys but not worth the risk walking on, the glass costs 10.000 each piece, 25.000 fitted Really like to do what is best, if anyone got any ideas

I would contact the architect and find out how they planned to clean the roof as part of the design. The way I see this is two person operation, one washing the roof and the other walking behind with one of those large fllor squeeges pushing the water away.
A roof such as this must be able to take the weight of a heavy snowfall so I would expect them to design a load limit way (weigh :) ) above a single person's weight.
There is a glass walkway I once saw pictures of and most people were too scared to walk on it even although it was supposed to be safe - there was a cracked panel on one of the photos which wouldn't have inspired much confidence on behalf of the sight seers.
For me I wouldn't take that job on period.

well if you've already deep cleaned it then a regular clean should be no probs - you already have the knowledge
if not - buy one of those new fancy robot cleaners

Ionics brought out a wfpole with a squeegie and hoover attachment all in one at least 10 years ago, don't know if they still sell them.

You could always make one. Ionics one I tried at an exhibition was pretty ideal for your situation.

I got asked to clean a nursery glass roof that was about 500ft across but that had more of a slope but didn't fancy working from above it in a cherry picker, too big, too long and not for me but hat off to you for doing yours

We brought a Glass hopper for some very high internal glass in an office block, the company offered to add the cost to the monthly clean, its like a hoover if l remember has a 40 ft reach on it, was not perfect but for what you need it for it might work, you could pole the roof off the just hoover up the water from the sides

Gutter vacuum and poles with a wet vac floor tool it may work if you can attach to poles

Perhaps someone could combine the technology of the Karcher window vac and a gutter vac system, to produce a larger commercial version...now where's me hammer? ;D

Lol like adapting a carpet cleaner suction base with a fittes squeegee blade on.......hmmmm perhaps Hman can conjour something up and patent it this time. He may come up with a winner then ;D ;D
