As an internet trader I obviously keep abreast of everything thats happening in order to advantage my business. At the moment  internet usage is growing faster than anyone envisaged.
The gurus are saying that it is still the wild west at the moment and now is a good time to benefit from it. However in the future the big boys will dominate as it is such a powerful selling medium they will try to prevent as much competition as possible or make you pay for the privelage. Within a couple of years everyone will be using their televisions to purchase goods and services. Also at the moment it is the better quality customers who are buying services online.
I think Steve has done well to achieve this and I know he is already reaping the benefits.
We use pay per click marketing and although sometimes only on page 2 or 3 still have people coming through to the site.

I've got great rankings for all my keywords, but its taken about a year to happen with a lot of work and effort being put in. My site is being updated and I will be adding a trades directory for the UK for cleaning firms, I'll probably put a post up in here when its ready. Im thinking at the minute all listings will be free with the option to upgrade to the top of a page, with pic, more info etc for a small fee.
