Would not shut off today no matter how hard I pulled the hose , I have one on each pole , the bad one is on an SLX 18 and will only turn off with up to 3 sections extended .
The good one is on a Facelift 42 or thereabouts this one works fine , both poles run the same tubeless piping so it cant be that !
Whats gone wrong , gonna pull it apart in a mo to have a little look see , any ideas ?

The hot water has possibly stretched the inner pole hose and you’ve pulled out of place the plastic in base of the top section of pole
Just a thought if you set it up that way, mine was playing up and it was that

Nothing dislodged loose or out of place , but wow was it grubby inside almost like the carbon dust build up you get inside an SLX if you dont maintain it !
Have cleaned it all out and lithium greased it all , seems to work better now but the test will come in the morning I suppose .
The good thing with it though is all you need is a pair of pliers to service it !
Will update tha mora ;D

Has the univalve improved? If so what did you do, mines causing me some minor stress.

im still on my first univalve that i bought over 2 years ago now,i do have a spare when this finally gives up the ghost.....it still works fine....it does sometimes take a few tugs to turn on/off but this is because of the hot water as when i used cold the other day it worked every time as the hose was much stiffer....
one of the best inexpensive inventions for WFP IMO.......

same here, played up once, reinstalled it and still going good, 3 years. got new one laying around for when needed.

Did not get chance to use it today as had to be an internal trad rat for the day due to rain ::)roll
Looking good in the morning though .
But all I did was open it up and clean it out then smear some lithium grease on the thing !

When I had mine set up with the ExCeed kit it did this numerous times. I found it really frustrating. I ended up removing the bung.
