as above, £39 from the cleaning warehouse. They seize up in very little time and you will get no joy from the company!!
-
Yes that's very disappointing.
Maybe Cleaning Warehouse should step in here and resolve this issue?
-
How did you pay for them and how long ago was it you bought them?
-
Bought them 3rd Jan. Fitted them about 1 week later. Almost straight away they started to stick up but i sprayed them with wd 40 but this doesnt work. They wont admit that they are in the wrong and keep stating that i should have lubricated them first!! Even though they send them unlubricated and dont tell you anything in advance. They now flat refuse any blame!!
-
Did you pay by PayPal?
-
Yes, they are saying that it is my fault as i should have known to lubricate them!! They also said that I can send them back but they will not refund me!!

As you have paid with PayPal you should be able to make a claim through PayPal, raise a claim then escalate it 9 times out of 10 PayPal will go in your favour.
It’s worth a try,

Those roller guides are really poor they look like the same poope blue versions Grippatank and Gardiners sell, i brought some years ago from Grippamax. Any pressure applied to the roller (only nylon and no bearings) like pulling the hose at an angle they simply get pushed against the metal and dont turn.
I drilled the holes out and made the gap between each of the rollers and the metal bigger which sorted the issues. There is nothing to grease on these. These really do only guide the hose but cant take any force against the roller, i still have 2 new ones the garage, there only fit to pull cotton thread through them ;D

WD40 is not a lubricant. It actually has the opposite effect of flushing out any lubricant.

I have gone through 3 sets of crap rollers from various window cleaning companies. None of them were fit for purpose.
Whilst I was getting my electric reel fitted at Pure Freedom I was telling Paul about my issues with the rollers and he said he would make me some. Ive had them for about 8 months and they are on bearings. I use them every day and are still like new.
I think he now has them on his website, expensive but you get what you pay for.
Dazzler ;D

If anyone has further observations on the roller guide issue then please use the other thread. Three topics on the same subject are unnecessary. One thread has been merged into the other and this one is locked.
