Title: Prochem Double Clean
Post by: Doug Holloway on June 28, 2006, 04:37:14 pm
Hi Guys,

I have been cleaning a modern church for 15 years  and last week I cleaned the main hall , nylon carpet using Double Clean.

Last year I used Microspliitter.

Boss came up to me today as I was doing some other carpets, and said what a brilliant job I had done on the main hall, much better than last year.

It was a bit embarrasing really as I thought last year had looked good but this guy is no fool.

Obviously I wouldn't use Double Clean on a delicate wool rug but these type of products certainly have their place.

Cheers

Doug

what did you use as a   pre-spray before the double clean?

last year did you use a freshwater rince with the microsplitter?

Hi Mike,

No seperate prespray , I presprayed with the wand i.e hot solution of water/Double Clean , leave approx ten mins, then clean as normal.

On the rinse can't honestly remember if it was pure water or if I added a little detegent as I tended to do if the MS wasn't working very well.

Cheers

Doug

Its funny you say that steve, i think if a lot of guys out there who have used MS for  a while go back to using their old faviourets they would be amazed at the results!! as i have said before, before using MS products i would brush in my detergent presprays with a pile brush, but brushing them in with machine aggitation is a different story alltogether :o I will say one thing for MS they have got us all aggitating our presprays in properely ;D

Hi Guys,
I am fairly new to carpet cleaning and have recently bought the prochem steampro 2000 with the heat exchanger and have managed to get started with a few contract jobs when i have used Prochems Hi Force as a pre spray and then extracted out with a little Crystal green, however i never heard of the term Microspiltter !!

can anybody please educate me and are there comments on Hi force / power burst as it is now called.

Thanks Paul

Funny you should say that doug. I used to clean a church carpet using micro splitters and a plain water rinse, job used to come up great and customer was always very pleased.

This time I too used prochem double clean and the result was unbelivible, the warden even admitted that it looked suberb and much cleaner than the last cleans.
Whats the penalty for tipping 25ltrs of micro splitters down a toilet??? or should I just tipp it over my flower beds.

i used double clean on a few jobs and found it to be too strong, went back to ms for safety more than anything else, but does not matter what anyone says, everybody has their own favorite way of cleaning and using their prefered detergent, if i was not using microsplitters i would use alltecs ultimate master
