I haven't posted for ages but always try and read Dazmonds posts as his enthusiasm for life is an inspiration to all.If like me you have no spare time or inclination to build your own system I would recommend Concept2o. Have owned two of their systems for ten years without any problems instant hot water for two pounds per 600ltrs. Wishing everybody on clean it up a happy Christmas and healthy new year richard

I considered a Concept 2o system 11 years ago when I was in the market for my first diesel on demand water heater but ended up going for the 9kw purefredom as the Concept 2o systems didn't have any form of frost protection and was told by their sales Lady a greenhouse heater would have to be used if ever it was likely to get cold enough over night for damage to be caused. Any idea if 11 years on their systems now incorporate a built in automatic frost protection?

im sure they are gas heaters rich.......i dont know where the OP gets £2 a day to heat his water from.he must work shorter days than you! ;D

The heaters run on LPG (liquid petroleum gas).
I have had mine for 8 years and it costs roughly £7.50 every 2 weeks to fill up. I do between 20 & 25 hours on the glass each week.

Thank you Garyo 76 for your comments people don't realise how efficient and economic the concept 2o system is. Both my vans have done over 2 million litres of water without any problems.

do you have to change gas bottles then?

No gas bottles lpg tank underneath as used on cars when converted lpg is currently 64p a litre.

How much are their systems? I looked at their website and couldn't find much information about anything on it. It need some serious work i.m.o.

Hi Concept 2o are expensive but as in life you get what you pay for. Try phoning Julie and i'm sure she will tell you any information you require.

I did look at their systems some years ago for price comparison.
I think you will find you can get a hot system from Grippa or Pure 2o for less money and they use better quality tanks and are crash tested.
As long as your system works well and earns you good money, if you overpaid for it is not so important.

I think you will find you can get a hot system from Grippa or Pure 2o for less money and they use better quality tanks and are crash tested.
As long as your system works well and earns you good money, if you overpaid for it is not so important.
so to have a gas hot water system fitted concept o2 are more expensive than a grippatank diesel heater?jeesh!thats a first!! :o

It was a long time ago that I looked. I am guessing because they do not put prices on their website that they are still over priced.

Well I wont be buying another bottle of propane now , L5 is becoming a donor , its done me well for 8 year though ;D
