Frank,
A lot of us think because we have not seen a window cleaner ther isn't one, but if you do start as i did you will suddenly notice quite a few and even more when good weather. Winter is good for me, i really find it more comfortable to work at a higher pace as the sun really takes it out of you. I am in no way trying to put you off, all i would say is do not be another cheap cowboy as they give us all a bad name, be very good and ask good prices
all the best simb0

dont plan on being a cowboy was looking at makeing a desent liveing i want to get a van and wfp system i no there is no one that does the street as i have asked. and people would like there windows washed i just dont no what to do ???

This is what i did, pick area's well as i found that nearly all newer estates were better covered than a lot of others. This is not to say i have not picked some up cos i have but generally had a better response from older semi housing area's, i used to leaflet every monday afternoon and usuall gained at least five by the end of the week and so on and so on. Leaflets seem to give you a foot in the door in a street and once you are in doing a good job the word spreads, its slow but does work. I could have gained twice as much work if i wanted but now have just short of 250 customers in my first year and stopped advertising for windows around 3 months ago.
if you are not bothered knocking on doors do that, i personally distaste people selling anything at the door, but if you have no problem with this, go for it, its a good life most of the time but you need to set goals for yourself and take the knocks and p*** takes that you will definately get
good luck simb0

Cheers Frank.
It was good to meet you too.
Just do whatever I'm not and you'll be ok ;D
There's a great deal of experienced people on this site that know a lot more than me. Keep posting and they'll be able to help.
Just avoid Gazza from somewhere up north (my tutor). ;D & the guy with the yellow van (Brett), they don't know much!!! ;D
No Seriously - They are both a fountain of knowledge! ;)
Good luck if you decide on the career change! ;)
