Title: Buying a new van. Unsure of payload.
Post by: Cookie on December 07, 2018, 05:02:37 pm
I've upgraded my 14 year old Vauxhall Combo to a Fiat Doblo SWB:

https://www.days.co.uk/van-truck-centre/used-car-details/used-fiat-doblo-sx-swb-small-van-white-manual-diesel/id-9756/

I was told the payload is 750kg (which is fine for a 350L tank), however according to the Grippatank payload checker the payload is 1000kg. I called Fiat who weren't able to tell me from the registration number and suggested looking at the owners manual (which is about as clear as mud and doesn't tell me anything).

I'm very happy with 750kg but it would be handy to know whether 1000kg is correct. Is there any other way of checking maybe from the V5C or something?

Look at the VIN plate , that gives you axle loads and payload , its all in the hand book if you got it

You need to buy the Doblo Maxi  LWB to get the 1000kg payload.
