Been a nightmare for me today also, out pricing a few jobs just now and completely lost without Google maps.

Still, would have been worse if it was yesterday, had a blow out in the roadworks on the M60, had to abandon the van only just on the hard shoulder with wagons flying past in the horrendous conditions. How my van didn’t get totalled I’ll never know.

Technology: I hate it!

I had all my work schedule recorded on an electronic device (not my phone). About a month ago it went through my washing machine! 🙄 As the data wasn't backed up anywhere I had to retrace everything from my handwritten index card file and input every regular customer (around 260) on my phone plus a few occasionals that I could remember had asked me to call to them.  I input the last of the recovered data last weekend!

if you had a window cleaning software program like CLEANER PLANNER that wouldnt happen as no matter what device goes belly up or breaks you can easily access your customers, debtlists, etc by logging in again on ANY device with internet access......

It was down to the rim, the tyre had long gone and the rim was sparking, I’d just passed a junction so no chance of making it to the next. The hard shoulder was tiny and was coned off so I had to pul in the best I could I get away for my own safety.

I contacted green flag and highway patrol and highway patrol said I’m not in a free recovery zone so can’t help 😂, told them a couple of wagons had already locked up and narrowly missed me and they soon arrived. Not a very pleasant experience though.

I may look into getting Cleaner Planner, or maybe George. At the moment it's all on my phone, which should be ok as long as I don't break/lose/wash it!😂
