Title: Name from a mobile number
Post by: tlwcs on December 01, 2018, 03:03:22 pm
Can anyone help me on where I can get a name from a mobile number please
Stupidly, I did a first clean to a woman who rang me while I was working in the same road.
I didn’t retain her name   ::)roll
Needless to say she won’t answer any calls, texts, or open the door.
2 windows on a upstairs studio flat so not worth stressing overbut a debt collection/threatening letter would look better addressed to her by name.

If they are on WhatsApp, it will probably say their name on that.

Have a look (assuming you have WhatsApp yourself)

You’ll need to save the number before checking your WhatsApp contacts. Otherwise it won’t show up.

There but no name.

You're right - not worth stressing over.
I really could not be bothered with debt collection letters or expending any more energy over it. What are we talking here10 mins of your time and probably a tenner ? I know its not the point but the principle but its really not worth the effort.
Its happened to me before and for a brief time I thought about sticking some muddy water in my backpack and re applying some dirt  ;D .........never went through with it of course. :-[

I remember on the local news a couple of years back. A builder was owed for a porch extension. Never got paid, so he turned up with his guys and demolished it  ;D

I've been turned over a few times because of giving them a chance. I used to really take it personally, but if it happens to me now, I just leave it. I have enough good customers with integrity to concentrate on to worry about the few saddos who think that stealing from service providers is clever.

If you type the address into "192.com" and type in address you can obtain a name of occupant but might have to pay.

I signed up for that a while back. So many searches for £20 or so. However, what isn't obvious is that it's time limited. So when I went back again a few months later I had to pay again or not bother. I didn't bother.

As you say it's not worth stressing over....as you already have work in the same street chances are you will catch her out and about one day, confront her then for payment.

If you really want to put a name to the address, then a visit to your local library to view the electoral roll should give you the info you need.

2 windows on an upstairs flat?how much does she owe you?a fiver?

I wouldn't of took the job on unless I cleaned all the other flats around too(including the one below hers)and got payment straight after clean....

Thank you for another response. Whilst the first had an element of humour, the second bears no relevance to my question, unlike most of the other replies.
It was not a fiver, although that’s none of your business. She agreed £20 for the first clean and £10 every other month. (£5. Under my minimum charge but 2 windows and I work closely to the block)
Maybe upon reflection she feels it’s too much, I don’t know. But she agreed to it verbally..
I still work with an element of trust believing most custards are honest enough to pay.
I have written it off . (Year to date with her I’ve written off £36)
I will lock it now as the overcharging police have been alerted.
Thanks for the replies
